I'm getting my teeth removed in two days and I am extremely scared. I have 4 extractions bcuz my teeth are very crowded and i have a crossbite or smth. if anyone has any tips or experiences plsss share cuz im scared af, btw does it hurt?

If you are East Asian and your orthodontist suggests you to extract your premolars, don’t be scared and kindly ask them to explain the reason. They will gladly explain it to you. Most of the time, we have flat nose and small jaw, hence it’s often better to extract our premolars to avoid even the smallest protrusion, especially if your issue is overcrowding. East Asian orthodontics still consider extraction as a treatment, not because we are not that advanced yet compared to the western orthodontics. In fact, Korean orthodontics is very very advanced and they still do premolar extractions. Do not just buy whatever people on the internet who never see your mouth have to say, trust your orthodontist, or other orthodontist who actually see your mouth.

I’m 31 my bottom wisdom teeth came in Years ago and looking at diagrams, I believe they came in through a mesial impaction. My, right wisdom tooth is coming in. It seems to be coming in straight and it’s painful at the time as it breaks through my gums I don’t wanna remove them and would like to do this sort of treatment to fix my upper left most incisor that is slightly crooked and ideally straightened out my bottom, wisdom, teeth along with making sure that my upper wisdom teeth come in aligned

The first consultation I went to for braces/clear aligners told me that I didn't have wisdom teeth and they recommended that clear aligners would be a great choice since my case isn't that bad but then I went for a second opinion and I was told that I have wisdom teeth and that I don't have any space in my mouth for the front teeth (which is why they are protruding a bit) and so they would need to take out 4 of my premolars to make space. - I understand that it is a common practice to be removing teeth for braces but I'm still not sure about it. I haven't gotten my teeth removed yet, should I get them removed? is it the right thing to do?

Thank you so much for these videos. I am looking into getting the homeoblock to help with deep bite and asymmetry. I thought I only needed braces due to some crowding but my issues are so much worse than that I have discovered. Can someone still use the homeoblock with a missing molar? I still have it at the moment but it's a failing root canal due to a break many years ago. All other teeth are healthy.

I hope none of you fall for this obvious scam. The ADA, FDA, and NIH all have written many papers stating that amalgam is a safe and stable filling material. Please do your own research before spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on dental work that does not need to be done. There is not a single dental materials expert that has said amalgam is unsafe.

Teeth extraction and braces totally destroyed my face and life 😢💔.

I had a molar extracted without ligament removal. Now have bone loss. I asked the surgeon about the ligament removal after procedure (unfortunately did not know at time of procedure), and was told that the ligament comes away with the tooth and no need to worry. This tooth had a partial root canal treatment - I should have had it treated a lot sooner. I think the bacteria has been in my system a long time and contributed to bone loss. Is there anything I can do now and how do I know if I have a cavitation in bone? Thanks

i wish i did more research before getting my 4 extractions.

i had 4 premolars and my 4 wisd teeth removed and i’ve been feeling so much more uglier.. my face looks recessed and my smile doesn’t look full anymore. i lost a good amount of volume from my face.. and i bite my tongue a lot more often!!!! i don’t know what to do and i miss my old smile.. i’ve been so sad and feeling ungrateful over this.

For me the extraction was a good choice, luckily. I got my lateral incisors removed on the top only, because they were so small they couldn’t even put brackets on them. They were overlapping both my central incisors and my canines, it was just untreatable. They removed them and put braces on my other teeth, and treatment went very smooth and quick for me. Just a few gaps to close.

So why not just pull all your teeth before it gets too bad and get dentures while you still have the gums instead of paying $60,000 for implants
